Ludhiana city, one of the largest cities in the northern part of India, is considered as the largest industrial city of Punjab. The city covers the area of almost 310 square kilometer. Ludhiana has the best and highest per capita automobiles across the country. Ludhiana is currently a vicinity Headquarter with Parliamentary body of an equivalent name. It’s one amongst the largest Municipal Corporation of the Punjab State.

The most thickly settled part of the Old city areas of Ludhiana are Wakefield Ganj (known as Field Ganj), Khud Mohalla, Miller Ganj, etc in which majority of the Middle class earning population lives.
