The Assam Institute of Hotel Management (AIHM), Guwahati, has been successfully serving the Tourism and the Hospitality sectors of the country in general and the North East in particular since 2011. The AIHM departments include: Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage Services and Kitchen Operations. We have a well-stocked library, and also a computerised laboratory. AIHM Guwahati students are also taught foreign languages. Regular personality development sessions are conducted to groom them as good communicators. Prominent leaders of the field, successful entrepreneurs and management gurus deliver guest-lectures to the students.

It justifiably boasts of 100% placements of our trained students in reputed companies across both the ever-expanding sectors of Hospitality and Tourism. Rightly have AIHM Guwahati President & Promoter Mr. Sujit Pathak and AIHM Guwahati Director Ms. Reena Pathak focused on developing and creating the best manpower. The Institute has been running skill-development programs across the urban and the rural areas in the region. These successful missions are sponsored by the Government of India and also by the Government of Assam.

The institute has been offering quality training in various departments of Hotel Management. It has modern catering technology. Some of the AIHM specialised fields which have been in demand among the students and also in the sectors are culinary skills, bakery, food and beverage service, front office management, accountancy, housekeeping management and allied topics. Proper counselling is rendered to the students to choose the right branch of the industry. Practical presentations and emphasis on nutritional and hygienic values are other significant aspects of the technical training given to the students. All the laboratories are spacious and the AC-enabled soundproof classrooms have smart boards. The institute has three interlinked blocks: the Administrative Block and the Practical Lab Block and the Block accommodating the Theory Classrooms.

AIHM Guwahati has well-equipped kitchens, bakery equipped with modern infrastructure and up-to-date confectionary units. We also have a designer restaurant with display kitchen facility. Students are provided hands-on training about the food and beverage service ethics. There is also a bar with modern decor.
