One paper of 180 compulsory multiple-choice questions, each with four options and a single correct answer / best option, to be attempted in 180 minutes (3 hours), in a single sitting in pen-and-paper mode. Physics: 45 questions, 180 marks. Chemistry: 45 questions, 180 marks. Biology (Botany & Zoology): 90 questions, 360 marks. Total: 180 questions, 720 marks. Marking: +4 for the correct answer or the most appropriate answer, -1 for any incorrect option marked, 0 for an unanswered question. If a question is found to have more than one correct option, +4 goes to those who marked any correct option; if all options are correct, +4 goes to all who attempted it; if no option is correct, or the question is wrong or dropped, +4 goes to every candidate who appeared. The question paper is offered in 13 mediums: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

The official syllabus (NMC syllabus published by the NTA) divides NEET (UG) into Physics (20 units), Chemistry (20 units) and Biology (10 units); one chapter here = one unit, with the topics as the document prints them. Chemistry is printed under three headings: Physical Chemistry (Units 1-8), Inorganic Chemistry (Units 9-12) and Organic Chemistry (Units 13-20); Unit 20 'Principles related to practical chemistry' has no heading of its own and simply follows Organic Chemistry in the document. The syllabus does NOT divide Biology into Botany and Zoology and does NOT sort units into Class 11 and Class 12, so this file has one 'Biology' subject and invents neither split; the NTA pattern also names the paper only as 'Biology (Botany & Zoology)'. No chapter-wise weightage or marks per unit are published. Unit numbers are written as digits (the document prints 'UNIT I', 'UNIT5', 'UNITS 15'). Headings printed in capitals are written in capitals-and-small letters. Spelling and punctuation slips in the source are kept as printed (for example 'morror formula', 'carbodydrates', 'anzymes', 'fiagellar', 'B Cell division', 'humanscentral'). The NTA bulletin FAQ (printed p. 76) corrects one of them: Biology Unit 2 'of an insect (Frog)' should be read as 'of an insect and a frog'. The bulletin FAQ also says the 2026 syllabus has no change from the previous year, and the 2025 syllabus PDF still linked as 'Syllabus' on the NTA homepage has identical text. The NMC-hosted copy of the syllabus (link in the bulletin FAQ) returned 404 on 2026-09-25, so it was not read. The bulletin does not say how often NEET (UG) is held, so `frequency` is left out. The FAQ page on the NEET website was opened and holds no documents, so it is not listed. The apply notice and the bulletin also carry dates, fees and qualifying percentiles; none of these is copied into this file.

Read from: Public Notice: Syllabus for NEET (UG)-2026 Examination (carrying the NMC syllabus for NEET (UG)-2026 as Annexure-I), PDF pp. 13-14 (printed pp. 10-11), Chemistry, Unit 20The official syllabus (NMC syllabus published by the NTA) divides NEET (UG) into Physics (20 units), Chemistry (20 units) and Biology (10 units); one chapter here = one unit, with the topics as the document prints them.
