| Who can apply | B.Des: Class XII pass, NIOS senior secondary or a recognised equivalent/diploma. B.F.Tech: the same but with Mathematics (or an engineering diploma). |
| Age / class | For B.Des and B.F.Tech the maximum age is under 24 years on 1 August of the admission year, relaxed by five years for SC/ST/PwD (check the current bulletin). |
| Stages | General Ability Test (computer-based) and, for B.Des, Creative Ability Test (pen and paper), then a Situation Test for B.Des; B.F.Tech is ranked on the General Ability Test. |
| What it leads to | Four-year B.Des and B.F.Tech at NIFT campuses across India; NIFT admissions are through NIFTEE followed by e-counselling. |
